Lock Service Satisfaction Survey

Just want a simple perception really, not trying to analyse out any specific issues but may come back with a more detailed approach depending on outcome.

33 have voted so far and would be good if more would do so.

This is an unrivalled opportunity for all users - whether or not they are members of any yacht clubs / TMBA/ anything else, or perhaps not a member of anything to register their feelings. It's truly democratic, YOUR opinion counts.

Other established organisations AFAIK don't consult their members on this type of "issue" and if they do it takes a considerable time for anything to filter upwards.

DON'T leave it to others to do the donkey work. The vast majority of boaters are unrepresented and if you are one of those, how on earth do you expect your concerns or even plaudits to become known??

I believe that the TMBA has no axe to grind, but in terms of the number of registered motor boats on the River, the membership is tiny and needs to be increased significantly.

Good post :). How about some TMBA "member" boat stickers? I'd pay a fiver for a sticker to raise the awareness as we cruise along ;).

The YBW pennant identifies you as a forum member.Club Burgees show you are a club member. The TMBA window sticker however identifies you as a river user who cares and supports the River Thames as a Navigation. For me it is a sticker that demonstrates our support to those who keep and maintain our River. It should take its rightful place place alongside the River licence.
