Locating Water Temperature Sender on a Mercruiser 5.7 LX

Hi,

The temp gauge is not functioning on "Take Five" and I have been given some info on testing it by another forum member.

Do any of you know where the Temperature Sender on a Mercruiser 5.7 LX is located?

Any help appreciated as always.

Thanks for the link. I thought the same myself and googled "5.7LX Temperature Sensor" to find what it is I am looking for.

Its mounted on the thermostat housing at the top front center of the engine it should have a tan coloured wire going to it.
