Well, it is on a day like today. I'll have to make do with watching the webcam. My boat is just gagging for some sailing, and I'm 250 miles away. :(

Manchester is not a whole lot better. Nicest weekend of the year so far and I'm 110 miles from my boat. It's the Great Manchester Run tomorrow and I'm signed up for that. Not all bad though, I've dragged my motor bike out of it's winter hibernation and been for a ride this morning.

Nottingham. Manchester. Birmingham. Oxford.

They're all too far from the sea so I've moved back to the south coast to live. My place is on Portsdown Hill which overlooks Portsmouth Harbour, the Solent and the Isle of Wight.

Well, someone has to live here :)

I live in the midlands - of the Isle of Wight - don't know how I cope. Nearly 6 miles from my boat and the coast. The furthest I've ever lived from the boat.

Had to sit in the sailing club and put up with this view tonight because we can't get away on the boat until tomorrow night because of other commitments:

Its worse living a lot closer but unable to go out 'cos you were a slacker during the winter and still have 50% if your refit to finish. Grrrrr. :(

That's precisely why when we lived down that way (Oxfordshire), we never even considered having a sailing boat.

It was only when we moved and are now just 3 miles from the coat, that we even started to think having a boat was viable.

David, if it's any conciliation, it's has been freezing in Holyhead all weekend.
