Hello, I have been invited to assist in the restoration of the ex Skegness Lifeboat 'Anne Allen' Its a long story but to cut it short, my father was in the crew and it is a childhood memory..
The project is well underway but there are two items which would assist greatly.
No1 - A circuit diagram for the Coastal Radio receiver and transmitter.
No2 - An original engine canopy......if only to be used as a pattern.
Many original fittings have been obtained and the hull is in excellent condition.
If anyone can help, any expenses would be covered and a good cause would benefit greatly..
Many thanks
Tony P

Mick,
Hi, Yes it is indeed! Not much work going on outside due to weather...but, behind the garage doors and in various workshops at the location much restoration work is going on. If you are a lifeboat fan, call at the bungalow/office and ask for Terry.
He is the driving force and has managed to obtain many original bits. If you know of a canopy and/or circuit diagram for radio, you would be very welcome indeed!!
Thanks for coming back.

Well I've gone through my books and the nearest I have is a book called
Test equipment for the radio amateur.
It does have all the stuff relating to radio's , your welcome to borrow it .
You know the heliport place on the A52 between Surfleet and Gosberton , the place that's full of crap . The old bloke who runs it used to be right into radio stuff and he wanted to set up a radio ship off The Wash, there are tons of bits and bob's in his sheds maybe he will have the info and parts you need.
What about the life boat at Baytrees ?.

Cheers

Mick

Thanks for ur replies gents, most obliged. Mick, re the test equipment guide, I have a mate with all the equipment and necessary valves, it is just that we badly need a circuit diagram as there is a loud hailer etc incorporated in the set. It would be much easier to sort out with the diagram to hand. Many thanks anyway.
