This test is to measure your intelligence, your fluency with words and your creativity. In the three years since this test was developed there have been few people who could solve more than half the 25 questions at their first try. Many, however, report getting answers long after the test had been set aside, particularly at unexpected moments when their minds were relaxed and some reported solving the questions over a period of days.
Each question below contains the initials of words that make the mathematical statement correct. Example; 16 = O. in the P.
(Ounces in the pound.)

1. 26 = L. of the A.
2. 7 = D. of the W.
3. 1001 = A. N.
4. 12 = S. of the Z.
5. 54 = C. in a D. (with Js.)
6. 9 = P. in the S. S.
7. 13 = S. on the A. F.
8. 32 = D. F. at which W. F.
9. 18 = H. on a G. C.
10. 90 = D. in a R. A.
11. 200 = for P. G. in a G. of M.
12. 7 = S. on a F. P. P.
13. 3 = B. M. (S. H. T. R.)
14. 4 = Q. in a G.
15. 24 = H. in a D.
16. 1 = W. on a U.
17. 57 = H. V.
18. 11 = P. in a F. T.
19. 29 = D. in F. in L. Y.
20. 64 = S. on a C. B.
21. 76 = T. in the B. P.
22. 7 = W. of the W.
23. 13 = L. in a B. D.
24. 8 = F. in a M.
25. 21 = D. on a D.

Based on my GSOH, IMHO, and I'm sure SHMBO would agree, the MBCF is just as challenging on a daily basis!

Re: Ooerr, I think you\'re showing your age ! - NM

There's a comedian/singer/songwriter mate of mine who regularly embarrasses his mostly middle-aged audiences by singing the first line from a 1960's advert and getting them to carry on with the jingle. They usually do this note- and word- perfect, by reflex, and there is then a stunned and embarrassed silence as they realise how old and sad they have become. Great entertainment value - and, yes, I have fallen for it too.

1001 is all very well but, on the subject of carpets, you can't beat: "This is luxury you can afford, by Cyril Lord!" imho.

Re: 76 Trombones in a big parade ;-)

Well done, Matt. You certainly did it a lot faster than me.

As for Haydn, you can see his cleaning products have got to his brain ! !

Re: Useful Songs to teach the crew

The boy stood on the burning deck,
His back was to the mast.
He dared not move a single step
'Til Oscar Wilde had passed.

But Oscar was a wily bird,
He threw the boy a plum
and as he stooped to pick it up
Ti tum, ti tum, ti tum................
