OK - lets see if we can find out how many of us have taken the plunge and are currently or imminently berthed at Sant Carles - I have started the list below (correct me if I'm wrong) forum name, name, boat name and if you like berth, as follows:

Also, there are various emails going around of bertholders that are trying to keep each other up to date. This is proving difficult as new people join in. So, I put my thinking cap on and was going to suggest setting up an email list on an email list server. Then I thought what we actually need is a forum so I suggested this to the group and have landed myself with the job - it quite well advanced now and I'm hoping that in the next week or so I will be able to make it live. To keep the costs down, I'm using free software and my current ISP's server space. I'm going to use a domain name for it and am making sure that the database can be backed up so that we can move the resourses in the future if it all becomes succesful.

I'm not expecting it to be widely used but it should be able to gather all the things we've learned into one place.

I'm keeping a list of people on here that are at Sant Carles and I'll contact everyone that I know once the new forum is ready and active.

I wasnt sure that a forum was the correct thing for this sort of thing but I think that email lists are a bit limiting - still - we'll have to see if it works.

Happy to be involved in a forum though, due to business reasons, am unlikely to move the boat there for a couple of years. I have somebody interested in renting my berth for a couple of years so when he signs on the dotted line I'll ensure his details are listed.

Mike Gates at MDL Bray is also a berthholder and may be interested

A SC Forum! An excellent idea - I am sure it will grow as the berths fill-up and could attract some revenue too through adverts in due course. Thanks for all your efforts Mike, much appreciated.
