Linton Hope

I understand that Hugh Campkin discovered Linton Hope's unmarked grave and the Royal Canoe Club organised a collection for a suitable memorial to mark his grave in the 1960's.

Does anyone know where Linton Hope is buried?

No, but I am interested.

By way of a footnote, my late father discovered the RCC "B" class canoe "Bubble" in a bit of a state somewhere near Richmond when he was at school and bought her for five pounds. His log book records that he wrote to Linton Hope's widow to ask if she had the plans; which she did not; he repaired the boat and sailed her to Cambridge, where he was an undergraduate.

The boat's plans are included in Linton Hope's edition of Dixon Kemp.
