So we had a couple of days off work at the beginning of this week and decided to have a quick blast across the Wash and visit the new visitor moorings in Kings Lynn. Having never been before we didnt know what to expect but as you will see it is actually a rather nice town.

Sailing into the Sunset as we have to reach Boston by 10.30am on Saturday

Moored up safely on the new pontoons. These were excellent with water and electricity for the very reasonable price of £10.50 per night for a 23ft boat

Blimey, I know that much of the miles covered will be on rivers but that is outstanding fuel consumption Rachael!!

Your pictures effectively cover part of the area where I work and you have certainly captured its good side :-)

Yeah she isn't too bad on fuel.

We usually work on 7mpg on the canals, 5mpg on the rivers and 3mpg at sea. About 95 miles of this trip were on rivers so it works out about right.

Please......will you two get REAL jobs and do something useful for the community.................instead of posting all this nautical-porn?

Thanks you.

ps.....I really do envy your lifestyle......DONT give it up!
