Thanks to those who recommended the Lightship at Levington (Suffolk YH) here a few months ago. Had an excellent and very reasonable meal there and it was the best that we had in our 3 weeks from Solent to East Coast.
A good meal also at Butt and Oyster at Pin Mill (but why is queueing alway a feature there?).
On the down side, the evening meal at the Ferry at Fambridge and lunch at Royal Harwick were disappointing, although everything else during our stay on the RHYC visitors' pontoon was thoroughly enjoyable.
