I was out at 6am in the dinghy retrieving my neighbour's two kayaks which achieved liftoff from the roof of their boat during a wind gust. Greenwhich Yacht club weather station recorded 57mph at 6.17am!
I'm in Limehouse so fairly near there so I guess it was about 45-50mph to get the kayaks off the roof.
Anyone else had anything interesting happen?
(I wasn't out in the dinghy on the tideway - our mooring is on the canal - if I'd been out on the tideway I think the coppers would have beenhooking me out of the river)
