How effecitve is a pro diver doing a hull and prop scrub in comparison to a full lifthout and clean. The prop and drive look pretty nasty on my 11m motorboat and its definitely degrading performance. Am I wasting my time getting a diver over?

Assuming we are just talking a bit of slime on the hull but a build up of crud and crustaceans on the prop and drive. I have always mid season gone for a snorkel (in the med) with a scraper (stainless steel) and in 20 mins two nice shiny props (11M boat also)
So assuming there is a significant cost saving the diver will be my suggestion.
I’ve done it as a diver but it’s horrid because all the bits get in your semi- dry and stab jacket.

As a mid season scrub, depending on fouling, done by a diver should suffice but there is no comparison to a thorough blasting of with an industrial pressure washer. Also a good opportunity to check the integrity of P brackets, cutlass bearings, outdrive bellows, saildrive, rope cutter etc etc

I’m not sure if @NC11 intends or needs to antifoul the hull. Not sure if I would pressure wash if I wasn’t going to re antifoul. Maybe with “hard” antifoul you can do this….never tried it.

A lift will always be better than a diver, but having said that, I usually get a diver to clean the hull & stern gear each year just before the summer holidays. He takes about 2.5 hours and changes approx £200, so pretty good value.

Depends on wether the diver uses a underwater jet wash .If so you save lift fees .
About €350 for the whole boat . 14 M . Works better this idea of a intermediate or biannual clean on harder AF obviously.
