Based on considered research including Hugo Pleiss's Book on Fibreglass Boat Construction, it appears that a GRP river cruiser should be taken out of the water & placed on the hard every 6 (not less than 5 and not more than 7) years and for a period of at least 6 months but prefrably 12 months.
Yet the man at the boatyard advises me to lift it out every other winter if i want to avoid blistering.
Can anyone shed some light on this 'mystery' for me ? Professional opinion appears to be very divided.
