I bought a 60 hp outboard and need to lift it on and off the boat and stand. It could be lifted by 2 people as it is about 100kg but that is a sure way to injure yourself so I splashed out about £215 and bought a SwitZer 2 Ton Engine Hoist crane. Here is a little video of putting it together if you were to ever buy one.

This one folds up to quite a small size very easily for storage which was one of the huge advantages for me

The lift went ok. A bit hairy at times and I put the trailer in the Wrong place but the thing is the motor is on its stand to be worked on. They look a lot less big and heavy on a stand or the back of a boat lol

I have one already ! Mine is the one ton version...in red. It came from China for less than the price of the steel in it...

I know it is incredible how they do it for the Price. When you consider how heavy it is and the price includes delivery Makes you wonder how. I may only use it a few times but already it allowed us to lift that engine with no real effort or straining yourself

Or very similar, lift the boat on and off the trailer with it or to anti foul the bottom of the keel.
