As Jinto needed her bottom doing I had her lifted out last week at Itchen Marine (just up from Ocean Village). I chose Itchen because at £236 it was a bit cheaper than the £574 quoted by MDL at Shamrock Quay. Although Itchen is more of a working style yard, the staff were excellent, carefull and really helpful, so don't be put off at all. The marina also has a new shower and toilet block which is essential if staying on the boat.
In 48 hours we gave the boat 3 coats of anti-foul, polished the props, changed the anodes and polished the hull (phew!!) and were dropped back in on Friday PM.
Speed increased from 20knts the week before to 28.5 knts at slack water with 120 gallons of water and 300 gallons of fuel on board - pretty pleased with that!
