I know everybody moans at the cost of boating, but £185 is good value when you consider the staff, time and equipment involved!

Great stuff from Penton Hook staff as always, and FSoB is now safely on the hardstanding until March!

Plenty of Osmotic blistering as described upon purchase, something I'll look at each year and do nothing about, but hopefully it'll be a mild Winter!

Water system empty, engines (raw water side) flushed with Antifreeze just in case...

My boat has not been out - intentionally yet. During my ownership I mean. But had a text yesterday to say she had been pushed back in. She had a deep V hull and when the river floods tends to linger on the bank.

Can't help thinking if yours is out until March you might miss the summer.

Says it's not currently available.
Is it only available to Apple aficionados?

Gosh, you windows people are paranoid ! No reason why it shouldn't work on a WIN machine but I haven't tried - been too busy trying it on my iPhone so that I can upset Ramage :D

(mind you, just because you ARE paranoid doesn't mean we aren't out to get you ! )

Gordon Bennett - do I Have to put a smiley to show 'tis only a joke / windup?
Certainly the latter worked in this case...

I put it down to SAD or Too Much Water.... (note the use of dots; I don't care for smileys).

Note for you - MrsTB loves her camera; has actually read the full manual - that's a world first.

TechnoFEAR !!!!!!!!

"the full manual"

Is that the bit thats normally first into the bin ?

Always wondered wether there was anything of interest in it !
Always wary when the manual is heavier then the item it explains.

£185.00? wowsers, we get ours lifted out and put back in for that, and I thought that was pricey!

The camera(s) in question are so advanced from mine (and slightly less so for SWMBO's) that "we" felt it was a good idea to see what it could do.

The manual in the box is thick 'cos it's in loads of languages. The real McCoy is on a cd so you have to print it out to make it usable.

So instead of having to carry a flash pan, tripod, dark cover and chemicals around with us, we now have something that can be carried around - with the advantage of seing the image the right way up....

Presume that is the cost of out and back in, I normally pay about that
+vat for the same size boat. Some places do take the **** though have been quoted up to £55/metre but politely declined.

Ah, okay, makes more sense!
As someone very new to boating I was slightly shocked to learn it was nearly 100 quid to lift the boat, even more shocked to discover that was just a one way ticket!
To be fair though, in seeing what's involved, I wouldn't want to do it for any less
