Sorry, couldn't resist the title of this thread, what with the previous ones recently.
Anyway, worth mentioning an improved customer service from Ultraleds, who have come under some criticism recently. After sending them a link to a thread last month where they were slated for non-return issues (myself included), I got in contact with them about some festoon LEDs that burnt out within a week of using them.
The sales department were quite rude and didn't forward my complaint to the returns department (a case of 'nothing to do with us'), so I sent a snotty email to the so called returns department (probably someone sitting at the next desk to the sales department). The initial response I got from returns was 'you do know we only offer a 28 day return policy' (no 'Dear Sir' or 'Kind regards'). When I politely reminded him that Ultraleds had recently posted an answer in the aforementioned thread that all bulbs now come with a 12 month guarantee he immediately came back, very apologetic, stating 'I didn't realise you were a marine customer. Here is the returns number, please send them back and we will post replacements anywhere in the world'.
I've yet to return them (I'm in Turkey at the moment), so we'll see if they live up to this promise, but it's a start.......
