I've just been quoted £219 inc VAT for a service on my Seago 4 man valise offshore liferaft.
I've no idea if this is a good price. Collection and delivery are £48 extra but I may be able to leave it at a pick-up point.
The quote is from Seago which appeals.
How does this compare?

£60 plus VAT at NW Marine in Liverpool plus the cost of any consumables you will need (lithium batteries, seasick tablets, flares, etc), which makes the final price a bit variable.

Suffolk Sailing - £98 + VAT for routine 3 yearly service of my canister Plastimo 4 man offshore liferaft, but consumables and gas bottle recharge take the total to £292 + VAT

As Tim says in #2, £60 + VAT at NW Marine for the 3 year service, just had my 4 man Seago valise liferaft serviced a few weeks ago, but the consumables, lithium battery, sea sick tabs, 2 torch cells, 3 red hand flares, repair kit adhesive, liferaft vacuum bag sealant, labels and markings brought it up to a total £191 inc VAT.

Mine is with them, as I write, at this price so I hope that it turns out to be reasonable...

Check your Seago Warranty, if it still in the warranty period it may need to be sent back to Seago or one of their approved service stations, otherwise you could invalidate the warranty.

If you need to use it, the last thing you'll be concerned about is a warranty claim. If it doesn't work, you won't be able to make one. The main thing is will it deploy and not deflate?

The cost of servicing a Seago is almost the equivalent of buying a new one. So have you considered offloading yours on ebay and then buying a new one?
