A kind sole ( thank you Richard) has given me a stainless liferaft cradle which I am going to mount on the pulpit.

There are no mounting brackets so I am wondering how to mount it - back to back u brackets bolted through or something else?

Fair winds to all

I made up my own clamps but have a look at pips mounting clamps

Whatever solution you choose, make sure it’s robust.

A friend of mine watched his rail mounted life raft cradle deconstruct and launch his life raft in the middle of the night half way across Lyme Bay. He couldn’t retrieve the raft once inflated and so had to tow it to Dartmouth and recover it there. Apparently the trip time doubled, and recovery and professional repacking the raft was a difficult and expensive task.

Seago supply the railmount bits as a separate kit. Should be available for less than £25 but not widely advertised. You can look at their illustrated instructions to see if the bits will suit.
