Whay a way to dry sail your own yacht! Pack all your gear aboard in the boathouse and then "Shackles away, Samuel!"

Was there not a 'Grand Designs' episode re the refurbishment of the Mumbles ( nr Swansea ) LB station? Intriguing.....
Many, many years ago I made the mistake of 'crewing' for a guy who'd built/completed his boat and wanted some help on his first venture out of Cardiff ( before the Bay Barrage ). Not many hours into the voyage'down west' I discovered - among other ecentricities' - that the bottom planking had been attached using galvanised nails.....
We put into Swansea Bay. I anchored about 50 metres off the end of the Mumbles Lifeboats slipway ( about as close as we could get ), and rowed ashore. That was the last I saw of that particular 'project'.
