An unusual sight today - 2 ex-lifeboats in company.

The Douglas Currie is a Solent class, with quite a history, and is resident at Portishead (owned by Keith Berry, the marina manager)

The Mabel Alice, ex-Penlee Arun lifeboat, looks like it has recently been a runabout for the Strathclyde plod. The new owner is hoping to run charter trips out of Portishead (thearun.experience@yahoo.co.uk if you are interested)

Ok she belongs to me, yes I can be seen onboard, we are arriving at Portishead having left Glasgow crossing the irish sea, then on to Holyhead, MILFORD Haven,Cardiff where we met Keith Berry from Portishead and his crew, finally leaving cardiff on Saturday morning together bound for Portishead where she will live in private care, hopefully running trips.

She is the Ex RNLB "Mabel Alice! penlee Lifeboat.
