I like East Cowes marina and have put up with the Lifeboat (Brewers Fayre) running out of real ale nearly every time I go there and not being capable of putting the next barrel on. Not anymore though.
Arrived 8:30 - 8:45, real ale off, kitchen is closed sir. Equipment malfunction, Health and Safety issue. I didn't quite believe it. I enquired nearest eatery and told "Fish and Chip shop in East Cowes" or "Folly Inn". They weren't to know we had come off a boat (where did that come from), was pushing SWMBO in a wheelchair after knee op, hungry and thirsty for beer. I was not amused and will not go to the Lifeboat again.
Such a shame that such a great situation is spoilt by an uncaring attitude.

Perhaps they did you a favour as my last meal there was at best pretty poor so much so that as I sit here I can't actually remember what I had which is unusual for me as far as food is concerned.

We also had a pizza delivered to the boat from a local takeaway which was OK and incredibly large........ and with the added bonus of being cheap.

Quite agree. One visit to the Lifeboat - definitely not something that I or my friends would wish to repeat. Just how can any business be so totally incompetent?
