Life raft

So I take my raft in for its second service to be told the bottle was three years old when I brought the raft new.
First service was done by Ocean Safety whom I brought it from,funny they didn't mention .

I didn't realise CO2 bottles were age sensitive. What's your problem?

If the bottle had a replace by date, was its replacement due before the date when the first service was needed? If not, I'm not sure I see the problem.

The bottle has a ten year life,so it was three years in before the raft was sold.
So the bottle was 6 years old at the first service.which is done at three years.
To correct my last post,the raft was supplied by Ocean Safety via another retailer not direct to me.
Same thing though.

My ocean safety raft had a bottle that had to be changed at 8 years so it had 2 three year services then a two year one. gets pricy when one has to buy the bottle as well!!

Dive cylinders every 2 1/2 yrs.
The 300 Bar 5 ltr cylinder for my air rifle is 5 yrs as its "Not for diving" & has the gauge afixed to the bottle

Yes, hydrostatic test. Dive tanks also have an additional 2.5 year visual check in UK.
