Sailed from St Kaths over the holiday weekend and was delighted to see a few porpoise in the lower reaches just downriver from Shellhaven. Should I be surprised?? Not seen in previous fifteen years of frequenting these waters. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Ebay: Harpoon gun.

Very tasty apparently, the Japs love 'em /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Must have looked good too! /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

They have been there for a few years now and we keep an eye out for them as we pass, however this young lady was spotted just below the sluice gate at Allington Lock on the Medway last Monday.

It is freshwater !

If it is below Allington are you sure it is strictly fresh water? When I was there last year, Allington was the first lock I reached after leaving Teddington! Now when we were visiting Upware, on the River Cam, we came across a seal. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif
