Lidl blocked drain pump £2.99

Just bought the above pump fromthe Fareham Lidls and thought it might be a useful and small addition to the boat tooling.
Where I am on the Hamble I do get a lot of crud in the cockpit drains and the raw water inlet pipes to the impellor housing.
Went and tried it out yesterday on cockpit drains,and the piping and cleared the muck out easily. The pump has a large screw-on flange to cover the drains but this can be removed to fit the 3/4" dia rubber hose of the raw water pipe, almost as powerful as the pistol type I bought 2 years ago.

I bought one of these last year for use in the home where it is absolutely useless. If you try to unblock a sink, it just blows back through the overflow. It could have uses on the boat though as you say.

Not a boaty subject but you have to put a wet cloth over the overflow or you can't build up pressure to clear the gunge.

Been there, done that !!!!!!
