Yes bought a set, tried them out yesterday eve and was impressed with them, although havent tried them on the water yet, but for £12 cant grumble.
Bought a set from aldi last year, and gave them away as they were C**P, good zoom but couldent focus them properly, should have kept them and used them for looking at the mother-in-law through the wrong end, make her further away looking. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

As I already said not madly impressed but OK for £13. I dont like the eyecup adjustment! Dont like the smell of the rubber either.

Yes, the eyecup is a bit plasticy, but they are the first pair of bins I've had which I can actually use with my specs on, are stupidly easy to focus, including the right eye corrector, and have nice rubber caps to the lenses. Lightweight yet easy to grip. And only £12. Bargain. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
I've had a set for 12 months SWMBO loves 'em, I hate them. Found the magnification a bit to much and things bounce around. No complaints for the price though.
Yup -got meself a pair on Monday as old Tasco's getting a bit faded at the edges. Fairly impressed at the clarity and then picked up May YM and there's a bins comparative review -cheapest 35 quid. I tried to copy some of the testing arrangements and Lid's came out well against the lower end stuff. No nitrogen, but great as a second pair -and with kids on-board, you never know when you'll need that backup...
Don't get me wrong, I have a cheap pair in the glove box of the car. But as this is PBO and people are advocating use on a boat then I can't accept fit for purpose.
There is one thing that is certain in life right now, regardless of how few Shekels they pay the Chinese workforce... To get good glass for optics you have to pay out a bit more than £13.
On the other hand, I am forgetting where I am, so I will bow out. I save up for camera lenses and the like, what I should really do it seems; Is buy a sack of ultra cheap crap and hope for the best. Ho hum.

I've never had a pair of binoculars not work when I pick them up, even after dropping them. They may be a bit difficult to focus or need twisting back into paralax, the view may be cloudy, too, but they still work. You can spend £1000 on decent optics & still drop them overboard.
You need a semse of perspective in all this. I have a couple of cheap pair aboard (all 7x50) seldom need to use them, but not worried if a pair should get dropped or slips overboard.
I didn't get the Lidl ones as I don't need any more and 10x is too great a magnification for me to use effectively. But their gear is always worth checking out - then decide if it's what you want/ need. But it's silly to knock it as a matter of principle. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
Great binos - we have just bought a pair for the house and I am astounded at the quality for the price.
However, useless on a boat IMO as 10x is much to high a mag - 7x50 are the optimum unless you go for image stabilisation. I would only take them on the boat if I had dropped the boat binos overboard and couldn't afford a replacement.
Good quality boat binos with a usable compass and night light are absolutely essential - nothing comes close for taking bearings on lights at night for a starter.
Your milage may vary, but I am with DW here - not much use on a boat unless you only use them on flat calm water for totty spotting.
