We are planning on having the boat shipped to the Bahamas. 92, Sunseeker Predator sport.

I have a Yachtmaster qualification endorsed to 200 ton and I wonder if this is adequate in US waters especialy Bahamas?

Can anybody clarify the exact situation re licenses.

Not sure how it works for a UK registered vessel, but for US pleasure craft, requirements vary from state to state. You only need a Captain's license if you are planning on carrying paying passengers.
Quite a few states require anyone under a certain age driving a boat over a certain hp to carry a "Boater Education Card" -- but it varies from state to state.
Boat US www.boatus.org is very helpful -- they even do free online courses and exams to meet the requirements of most states.

British flagged vessel, British rules. You're YM is perfectly fine.

Enjoy

I agree: the flag state rules apply. IIRC it is Malta flagged, or did I dream that? Still, Malta rules are pretty much same as UK

Indeed, of all the countries in the world, the US is arguably the one where the "flag state rules apply" principle is most established. There are stacks of US billionaires with big boats and all of them (except Leslie Wexner, owner of m/y Limitless) flag their boats outside US to be able to use non US rules when in US waters. Limitless is the exception becuase it had a special clause inserted into the law to accommodate the boat, such is Mr W's influence!
