..was vey quiet - some of the exhibitors were saying that the weekend was like a weekday. I thought it was pretty good - the DOLR trains weren't packed, got an excellent discount on the Pasties at lunchtime too...and a seat on the funny rope knot things.
 
I went on Sunday and was concerned it was going to be too busy.

I would actually describe it as being like a weekday, so may be numbers are a bit down.

I must admit I can't see why people moan about LIBS at Excel.

It's far better laid out, easy to move around and has good facilities.

Asd for communications / transaport I got on the train at Southampton and by using the Underground and DLR didn't have to go outside of a station once.

The RYA Lounge is a useful haven for a spot of lunch and relaxation and if you like gin, Tanqueray were giving away G n T or a gin, apple juice and elderflower coctail.
So good I had two!!

Thouroughly enjoyed the day.
 
First time at ExCel .
Much better than LBS in My opinion.
Also got discounted Pasties!
Had numerous tastings of "Old Pulteney" Scotch! Just by the Inland Watwrways bit.
Good sales Guy too. Well He managed to flog Me a bottle---- eventually!
Reckon I bought a bottle and had 1/4 bottle for nowt, hic! /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
