LIBS Attractions - Any suggestions?

No But...

I've had coffee with instant mash instead of coffee mate!

And coffee made from seawater instead of fresh!

I've also had a vesta curry (bad enough I know), but instead of cooking the rice in salted water, the "chef" cooked it in sea water "well I could see the bottom so it must be clean" he said with a drunker slurr. Clean it was, it was also too salty to eat!

Re: No But...

I'm wasn't able to attend the boat show this year, but were there any seminars or talks and what were they like?

My suggestion for the show would be a good seminar programme. Well written and presented talks with slides etc. Maybe some of the skippers who competed in the Jester challenge, or the past experience of a global challenge skipper racing round the world with amateur crew etc.

If you can find one of Tilman's old crew to turn up with a box of slides and give 60 minutes on sailing in Artic waters I'll book my ticket tomorrow.

The Sky theatre..had most things

They did have quite a few talks and seminars in the Sky Sports Theatre...Don't expect any pretty piccies, it's blacker than a coal mine in there! /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Anyway the full time table is here:

http://www.londonboatshow.com/documents/skysportstheatretimetable.pdf

And they seem to have most things covered, Nigel Irens, Dee Caffari, Peter Cumerlidge, Tom Cunliffe, Rod Heikell, our own Paul Gelder, James Wharram (hopefully fully clothed), a lighthouse keeper or two and a talk about pirates.

I haven't had a chance to see any of them, work and all, but I have to pop along to some of them and get a pic or two
