lewmar winch spares

I have a pair of fairly old lewmar 40 two speed winches and think I need to renew the pawl springs. I have seen several spares kits on various online chandlers - but cant tell if they will fit my age of winch. Anyone any experience of this - are these spares kits universal for all Lewmar winches?

I took my broken winch piece into Alladins Cave Chandlery and received first class service! The required part was identified but was not in stock. They ordered and posted out to me by first class post. (And the part only cost £3.50! not the usual £500 I'm normally quoted for any marine bits)
