A couple of my Lewmar Clutch/jammers are mis-behaving!! When I click the arm open it keeps snapping shut again unless I hold it in the open position. I get the impression something is worn, do you know if it is possible to obtain replacement parts etc. I cannot remember the model number but they are approx 10 years old. I have emailed Lewmar but at the moment awaiting response......Any ideas greatly appreciated.

Paul.

I got spares for my 14 year old lewmar clutches last year from Marine Superstore in Port Solent via their website.
Just replaced the clutch levers and as good as new as they incorporate a new spring.

I had a similar problem with my Lewmar clutches, also about 10 yrs old. I contacted Cliff Mogridge who used to work for Lewmar and now runs his own company, based in Emsworth, called Winchservicing.com. Although he tried to obtain new parts I believe they are no longer available. I went for a new jammer in the end and the bolt spacings for fixing for the 'new improved' model were identical, luckily! His website address is www.winchservicing.com

Thanks for your help guys. I have today emailed winchservicing with a description of the problem. I had a response from Lewmar saying the model number did not come up in his computer!!
