You have my sympathies. Your experience is similar to mine it seems, apart from my not needing a new windlass.
The easiest would be to fit another windlass the same as the holes would all line up. I cannot see any on eBay however. It is probably worth asking Lewmar if their current windlass's required the same holes in the deck as you old one. If they do, that that would be the next simplest
The message for other owners of older Lewmar windlass's is to seriously consider dismantling them before too late!
