Does anyone know how these Lewmar mainsheet stops are actually fixed to the rail?

I am asking because one of the stops is now a bit "wobbly"... and I wonder if anything can be tightened

Watching this thread.

The PO of my boat ended up bodging one end with epoxy - it actually held perfectly well, but I removed it after the other end started working loose.

I think mine was originally secured with a thread tapped into the lower rail, but this is thinner than a nut and steel bolts into aluminium… ?

I'm currently undecided as to the best way to fix it. Mine isn't Lewmar, but I believe all are similar.

The stops on my lewmar system also contripol the traveller and are held in place by s/s pin with a couple of grub screws to brace / stop it wobbling. The s/s pin is under the pulleys on mine. Looking at the photo is there anything hidden under the plastic bit? Another picture from a different angle might give more info.

Might be worth giving one of the local rigging companies a call. I use Allspars, but they are Selden resellers.
