I'm having to replace the ropes that control this Lewmar main sheet traveller. I thought that the old rope was 12mm as 10mm looked to small and more to the point I cant find the instruction manual. The 12mm braid on braid rope fits in the hole but trying to get the toothed wedge in is another matter. Is any one able to confirm the rope size as I cant find anything on the Lewmar website.

Hopefully the pictures makes sense as to the model.

Only someone with a VERY old catalogue would likely be able to find the answer...the cars are really very old.

All that said, 12mm sounds like extreme over-kill for the mainsheet car adjustment lines -I'd imagine 10mm more likely to be correct.

I thought that my request to the forum would be difficult one so emailed Lewmar tech support this morning. Have since had a reply that rope is 10mm and mine is a size 2. Most impressed that Lewmar replied so quickly and included a few more details.
