The fore-hatch is leaking. In fairness, it's as old as the boat. I dutifully went to the chandlers and bought the tape for the new seal but it does rather appear that is does not match as it is flat and the old seal is more the shape of an inverted T. Does anyone know if fitted tape is available or am I going to have to fudge it?
In the meantime, I'd like to make absolutely sure that the water in that area is coming from the hatch and not the head. Does anyone have a way of temporarilly sealing the unit? My best idea thus far is a binbag with carpet tape but I suspect one ought to be ale to do better?
