Lewmar classic hatch hinge leaking

Anyone else has problems with leaks through an old style Lewmar hatch hinge? I think the pop rivets holding the lower hinge to the frame are leaking, but I’m loathe to drill out the pop rivets to replace them with some sealer added, in case it’s an impossibly fiddly job. The back of the pop rivets seem to be hidden in a recess behind the outer hinge fixing to the frame, so I’ll have to unscrew both hinges from the frame to get to them. If anyone else has done this successfully, I’d appreciated any advice about pitfalls and solutions. TIA.

What does the sealant look like from the outside, ie is it split anywhere allowing water to migrate to the hinge.
It looks like you can unscrew the hinge from the acrylic, clean up and reseal without removing the hinge from the frame.
