Help!......Recommissioning my Dufour 34 after winter I find the steering has gone very stiff. Its down to the Lewmar constellation drive - in standby its very stiff but moveable. If I try it in auto mode the motor groans and is very noisy, I'm not sure its even consistent in movement. Any one got any experience of this issue -and is it possible to service them? Waiting to talk to Lewmar but thought someone may have had this problem
Solved it....water in the bearing, seized solid.....great idea of the builder to put the drive shaft just below a cockpit drain. And no one from Lewmar troubled to call, even though they boast of great service.Hmm
