Lovely stuff and thanks for keeping us updated. What did you decide on V drives vs outdrives in the end? V drives I think? Are you going to varnish the new transom outer skin?

I've now modified the hull to take outdrives, which was another major decision and a big job. I decided that the remote v drive set up was going to be difficult to get right, likely to be noisy and fuel inefficient. I was going to varnish the outer transom but found it was full of plugged screw holes after I'd finished refastening it to the transom frame and hull, so have decided to paint it, which will be easier on future maintenance.
