levels getting high

just seen this picture on twitter (looks like Queens Eyot), showing high river levels.

Hopefully shouldn't get much worse !

As I have been flooded three times since 2003, I'm keeping a close watch on the river levels on the EA's River Level website, unfortunately the measuring device downstream of Old Windsor Lock has decided not to work for the last couple of days. Looks like a high pressure area over the UK in a few days so hopefully not much more rainfall, and will allow the river level to decrease again :eagerness:

I checked on my boat today and I was surprised to find the stern rope wasn't attached. Either someone has played with it, or the river had risen by a few feet causing it to lift off the pole. Had the river risen that much in Kingston over the last week?
The flow looked very fast
