It's an interesting idea, getting £100 per night for putting out clean linen and a quick spruce-up, but I can foresee a few problems:
e.g. insurance, whether marinas would be happy with non-boaters stumbling along pontoons and falling in trying to get back onboard after the pub (boaters are quite good at doing this anyway), plus the paranoia about damage to delicate interior fabrics and fittings. It's not as if you can get out the 5L tin of Autumn White to patch up a damaged upholstered panel or fitted wooden cabinet.

I am sure you would not be allowed by your agreement with the marina to run a business of this sort using the boat at your mooring. The marina would reasonably ask for an additional fee . But they may not be permitted to allow it - by the terms of their planning permission.
I agree with the thought that wear and tear would be a potential issue - you can always tell an ex charter boat from one that has been privately owned.

I'd want a helluva lot more than £100 pn. Maybe a grand but even then I doubt it.

Something of which I have some experience.

Main stumbling points are that on top of marina permissions you must have public liability insurance and comply as a trade, effectively a furnished holiday let.

Your insurance will not, most likely, cover this kind of activity and the boat would have to comply from an H&S pov, (FRA, NIC and lots of other stuff).

It's a tough one to do properly and above the grey market but it is doable, but much easier to do as we do and let your house out while you stay on the boat, simples!

Probably need to get the boat MCA coded as well. Although presumably Cat 6 or whatever the least challenging one is (0 miles from safe haven!).

When you think of the accumulating number of luxury, ageing, big volume mobos around the world that nobody wants because of their year model, perhaps this could provide a source of income for the owners while they sit on the market?
