Les Powles - a good friend and definitely an eccentric! His first book was Hands Open, sadly out of print now. He's still living board Solitaire in Lymington Yachthaven. I met him after he arrived home looking like a skeleton, he was admitted to the hospital in Keyhaven where my wife helped to nurse him, that must be about 12 years ago. Great Guy with a few gripping yarns to tell!

Thanks Wandering Star. I remember reading about his adventures at the time. I was saddened when he was reported months overdue in the Falklands but was then totally amazed and impressed when he turned up in Lymington.

I downloaded an electronic copy of his other book Solitaire to my kindle last night and am looking forward to reading it.

Best wishes to him.

Hi Wandering Star. I'd like to meet Les, but Lymington Yacht Haven can't give his details out due to GDPR. Is there any way you know of getting a hold of him please? I can message you on here or via email if you prefer.
