Has anyone visited the minkies before? Opinions of the place?
I think the article in March's MBY makes it look slightly more daunting than it actually is, although caution is definately neccessary. This applies especially on springs when you have to steer almost diagonally in order to pass over the demies bank without being whisked away by the tide, this was quite an experience on a friends sealine T46.
Also there is a beautiful anchorage slightly north west of Grune Tar, it forms a lagoon at low spring tides with about 15ft of water in the pool - this is shown on the small guides on page 94 but not written about.
