I occasionally do a little work on a Princess V65 based in the eastern Med.

The boat is fitted with Lenco Tabs and everytime it is lifted there is a issue with at least one trim ram, this year is no different one is waterlogged and now dead.

has anyone else on here suffered with these rams or is it peculiar to this boat. I have to say if it where my boat the lenco stuff would be in the skip and some proper hudralic rams would be fitted.

lead time for new ram is between 10 days and 4 weeks then shipped and clear customs so anything up to 5 weeks.

Owner is due here tomorrow and is not pleased that we have to purchase another ram!!!!!

Yes. The are very problematic. I saw a princess V65 having them changed to Bennett recently. They are a problem on most boats but more so on ones with two rams per tab.

I'm Mallorca we can usually get them for next day.

I would replace the system with Bennett!

Our Princess 67 is 4 years old and has Lenco trim tabs - fitted in pairs.
Yep - we had a failure of the starboard set this year when we lifted out.
I just replaced them with the same.
However, search these forums - there is an excellent post on how to strip and get the old ones working - might get you out of a situation.
