Friend of mine is planning a slow RTW starting from Caribbean early next March. I offered to post the trip here for anyone interested.
Start will be Antigua or St Lucia. Then Panama, Galapagos, French Polynesia, Fiji and the New Zealand for a three month break. Then onwards to South Africa (more tourist time) Brazil and back to Carib 2019.
All legs available on a cost share, this is not a commercial venture.
The owner is late sixties and a highly skilled and experienced sailor, many transatlantics and Astro specialist.
The yacht, a Jenneau 45, is well equipped for long distance cruising. I have skippered it myself across the Atlantic twice with no unusual problems.
May well suit a retired person with a sense of adventure!
Please drop me a PM if you want any more details or contact email etc.
