So who's doing a good deal at the moment? Just thought I'd ask before I go a-googling.
I'm looking for about 85Ah to about 100Ah deep cycling as a domestic No.2 replacement, if thats any help.

I'm not sure how well suited they are to the application, but I remember seeing industrial batteries for very little money on the talk audio forums. I believe they were the type used in forklift trucks etc, very high capacity but very low cost - the caveat being that you needed to buy a pallet of them at a time I believe.

I'll go back and see if I can find the thread tomorrow
