Hi everyone,
Am new to this site. I don't know if anyone out there can help me. I'm trying to track down the December 2004 issue of Sailing Today, as I know that it had a review on the above boat. I can buy a back issue from the company but it could take up to 28 days to come through and I really could do with it before then.
I have reviews for the Legend 36 (both of which featured in American magazines in 2004) but the only 36 review that I know of is in the above issue.
Here's hoping!!

Hi Guapa. That would be great if you could do that for me. I have tried sending you a a private IM but this feature doesn't seem to be working for me. Do I need to activate this feature? Looked on your website by the way. Boat looks nice!
Cheers

Why not send him an email through the blog then?

Hi 'Full Circle' and other East Coast people. Have had a look on the East Coast forum and it looks nice and friendly. Am keen to chat about East Coast stuff. Slight problem at moment - don't have a boat, but working on that one!
Cheers

Don't let that bother you, there are loads of peeps on here who are either between boats, or those with an interest in crewing or whatever they are interested in.

These forums are good in general. Lounge takes some getting used to though.

"Getting used to" = Understatement indicating growing a thick layer of keratin (skin) on sensitive parts of your body (brain, heart, gut). Thick as is Rhino, Tortoise Shell, the heels of an ageing troll

How much sailing have you done, do you know what you are buying. I don't want to put you off if the Legend is the ideal boat for you. But do you know how it differs from other boats with say less accommodation?

If it is your first boat be careful, my first had great accommodation, but we used to joke that it was a brilliant boat unless it was windy. A bit unfair I grant you, but my previous boat had a shallow steel keel, and the boat would fall on its ear in a puff of wind. If I had known more I would have bought the lead keel version which is quite a lively performer if the rig is set up correctly.

If you want to see some "Real world performance" figures then have a look at the Round the Island Race website. You can down load pervious results and as it is in Excel format you can change the order to elapsed time. It then gives quite a good idea how well a boat sails taking a change of direction and tide etc.

Good Luck.
