LED replacements for festoon lamps

I have not used this company but other forumites have mentioned them in the past and they do have festoon bulbs.

http://www.bedazzled.uk.com/12v_LED_Bulb_Replacement.htm

Their website does mention self resetting fuses in their bulbs.

Also - I guess that once bulbs have been replaced, the fuse (or circuit breaker) rating should be reduced for that circuit.

Perhaps sbdy else might enlighten us on the potential issues of having some LED and some tungsten bulbs on a single circuit. The breaker would have to remain much larger than required by LED lights alone.

The fuse is there to protect the wiring, not the bulbs. - There is no need to reduce the fuse size.

got mine (6LED) from http://www.ultraleds.co.uk

They have been very good.

I made a mistake with one light and ordered 42mm instead of 37mm. Still managed to push them into the holder!

You were lucky. I bought six or seven festoon LEDs from Ultraleds, each one had 18 individual LEDS in the unit. The first one began to fail after an hour, then progressively all the others followed until by the end of the season the whole lot had gone. No response whatsoever from Ultraleds, which didn't surprise me as others have reported the same. I now buy from CAK tanks, as suggested above. Excellent products and customer service.
