Has anyone tried the light switch circuit in the recent led project. I have tried to get the anchor light to work but failed to get it to work on several attempts. If you have managed to get it to work can you let me know.

thanks

I am not familiar with your light switch project but some advice for general projects. I am assuming it is a kit of parts to make up an auto anchor light switch using a light sensitive device.
Check the correct polarity connection of all diodes tansistors and electrolytic capacitors. Check for bad solder joints by tugging wires into the PC hole checking for movement.
Check with a magnifying glass for PC tracks bridged with solder when they shouldn't be.
From there you need a multimeter and some clear idea of how the circuit work. Check the voltages on transistors ICs etc looking an anomily. If you find something not right then track it down.
If you care to PM me with more detail I might be able to help give some ideas on how it is meant to work. good luck olewill

Thanks for your reply.
I am going away for 3 or 4 days but will re try the circuit when I come back. Just in passing I am building this on a bread board so the soldering can not be a problem(yet)
It uses a light depandant resistor and a transistor to act as a switch. anyway more when I get back
many thanks

Mike
