Seraph has 24 x G4 10 and 20watt halogen bulbs and SWMBO doesn't quite get the "minimal" aspect for power conservation; checking the amps being consumed sometimes and it's a serious "feck me!" when at anchor so I spend my life following where she has been turning them off

I've tried a few leds as potential replacements, bought some cheap on ebay, and a friend has lent me 6 or so different G4 compatibles and none of them "cut the mustard" to meet my expectations in terms of equivalent/appropriate light level delivered by the G4 halogens

So an internet search and feedback brought up LEDHUT; between £5 and £6 for a G4 LED so bought a couple to try - RESULT!!. excellent light delivery.

So ordered more; just fitted them this morning, turned them all on and the ammeter hardly moved.

Added bonus; delivery updates are online - down to about 15minutes on delivery time - communication is excellent.

The usual disclaimer; no business relationship apart from being a very happy customer

Some of those prices are very expensive.
i bought 2 of these for £16 each, on this site they are £25 each

Oh & mine had PIR`s on them too

How do the prices on G4 replacements compare on the site you bought from and which site is it please? I need to buy some.

Hey Steve... Glad that you're happy with them... I've spent so long trying to replace my lights at home with LEDs it's ridiculous... My problem is always the colour temperature. So few LEDs actually quote this, so you don't know what you're buying... Are your new ones suitably yellow... like 2700 K ? Most tend to be a blue light... it's like living in an operating theatre !

Been down this road - and given up on LEDs for now for home... Am trying a couple on the boat shortly though - waiting for delivery. 220 AH domestic supply doesn't go far with 9 x 20 watt G4 halogens plus fridge, Eberspacher etc. Domestic batteries now 3 years old and dying, will replace in March.
