My Westerly had halogen down-lights that I converted using the circular multi LED panel bulbs several years ago, power consumption is minimal but the light isn't quite as bright as the old halogens were and does seem to have tailed off as they age.
Earlier this year I bought a couple of replacement 3W down-lighters on eBay, that fit into the headlining plinths fitted on my Westerly as an experiment.
The light is amazing to say the least and the lights even swivel so the beam can be adjusted.

I have now ordered some even 9W lamps of a similar design, non swivelling but much brighter and with a frosted diffuser-

They have just arrived and I'm very pleased with them, but from first look I think they might be too bright.
I will probably mix and match them so I can turn them on selectively as required.
