Leaving the boat in Tor Bay/Lyme Bay

Dartmouth would only be £16-50PN possibly less if a deal made with DHC .
 
Just to add, she's 10m twin keel, so can take the ground.

Looking through the marina guide in ST, prices look better in Exeter ship canal and Dolphin Haven at Brixham, though still a lot for a fortnight. Any knowledge of these, anyone?

Maybe a local sailing club would have a mooring at a reasonable rate?

Or any forumites in the area away for that fortnight?
 
The sailing club at Brixham has a visitor pontoon with decent access and is pretty cheap-worth atry?
 
Torquay harbour (not marina). It'll be about £8/night for your size on the Town Pier pontoon.
 
Give Phil Wills a call on 01626 890225. He operates a number of moorings on the Exe and may be able to find you something.
Alternatively try Starcross Cruising and Fishing Club who have a mooring (01626 891996; but you're only likely to get anyone on that number on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings). I don't know if they would be keen on somebody using it for a fortnight.

You would probaly need to get the water Taxi to take you to Exmouth but, if you can get ashore at Starcross, the station is very handy indeed.
 
Don't know about that. I was there 2 weeks ago, and they charged me £10.50/night for 15m.

Would suggest Teignmouth Harbour Commission, they have Visitor Pontoons at Teignmouth Back Beach, drying Mud/ Sand berths on Shaldon Beach, sometimes mooring buoys in river, sometimes available. Would suggest that you ask for a drying mud/sand berth on Shaldon Beach, as your Craft is a bit longer than they generally offer moorings for, but having said that the Pontoons take long craft, but you will need a dinghy to get ashore.

Will ask around generally :)
 
I have a friend with a mooring on the Exe who is away at the moment. I can ask him if it will be available for those 2 weeks. I imagine the cost will be very small. Pm me if interested b

We got caught by bad weather in Teignmouth a few years ago and had to leave the boat. The harbour master was very helpful and gave us a lift to shore. A few days later when we returned we borrowed (under cover of darkness!) a dinghy from the beach, got to our boat then returned the dinghy.

That used to be an accepted way of gaining access to ones boat, if you did not have a dinghy, often Oars and rowlocks were left in dinghy's, and it was accepted as an OK thing to do! Just giving my age away now, big time! :)
